In 1999, Brandi Chastain’s goal clenched a historic Women’s World Cup victory—encouraging young girls nationwide to pick up a ball, lace up their cleats, and head on to the pitch. So, for the 20th anniversary of this win—the 2019 FIFA Women’s World Cup—we celebrated the moment’s impact with a story that follows Crystal Dunn’s (Women’s National Team rising star) journey to the world stage. A story that allowed us to demonstrate the power of equal coverage and representation in sports.
